Now there are only two choirs at Cedar Rapids Jefferson. They are West Side
Delegation, the varsity/premier show choir, and Ovation, the prep show choir.
In 2004 so far we have placed 3rd at Milton, and we tied for grand champions
at Johnston Inivitational. We have received two best band trophies this year,
as well as a best vocals at Johnston. We have a very exciting show this year
with the songs: Night on the Town, Raise the Roof, Lily's eye's/In His Eyes,
Breakin Up is Hard to Do, Forget About the Boy, Shall we Dance, and It's Too
Darn Hot. We will finish our competition season at Benton, Davenports- Great
River Revalry, and in Indiana. We look forward to the rest of the year and
the accomplishments it will bring.
Ovation performed at Johnston this year and received 2nd place. They also
have a very exciting show, probably the best show under their new director
Andrew Eley.
