| the group welcomes a new choreographer, April James, a Mississippi native "y'all". The group's season really gets started in full force after the marching band season is completed. Eight of its twenty singers are members of band or color guard as well as being members of concert choir. In addition, twelve are in Madrigals and four (not including the seven in combo) are in Jazz Band - you get the picture - a busy group of musicians. In addition to competitions that fit into the year's schedule, "Ovation" performs with the Jazz Band on an annual "Pops" Concert as well as performing at community events during the year. In late April, the group will travel with the rest of Concert Choir and Madrigals, as well as the Concert and Symphonic Bands to Washington D.C.
