THE ENCORE SHOW CHOIR is in its eighth season.
It performs for numerous corporate, civic, school district and church functions
throughout the greater Madison area. Encore has consistently placed first
at the district and state level WSMA Competitions. In 1995 , the group
won the Spirit' Award at the Onalaska Classic and the Sportsmanship Award
at the Eau Claire Winterfest. In 1997, they placed third at the South High
Street Invitational, Fort Atkinson. This year the group performed at the
2nd Annual Wisconsin Singers Home Show on the UW-Madison Campus and the
Onalaska Show Choir Classic. In March, the Encore group will travel to
Fridley, Minnesota and compete in the Totino Grace Spectacular Invitational
where last year Encore placed seventh. Director Brooksy Beilke-Skoug has
been the director of the Encore Show Choir since its inception in 1991.
Ms. Beilke-Skoug received a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal and Instrumental
Music from UW-LaCrosse and a Master of Music Degree in Choral Music Education
from UW-Madison.
