This "Index" of Show Choirs had it's debut on the Internet
with the 1998-99 school year, and only a handful of groups listed. I believe it was the first
site dedicated to bringing the 'Show Choir Phenomenon' to the internet. We are
now hosted by Kelly Webworks, and
there are at least four major sites dedicated to Show Choirs. My goal continues
to be to list every show choir in existence, and to link to their web sites.
As of
Wednesday April 30, 2008 there are
800 Show Choirs
listed in 46 States, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The
State of Iowa alone has 164 listings, followed by
California with 111!
Show choir has been a large part of my life for over 17 years, and I
strongly believe that this is one of the most beneficial offerings that any
school can present. My sincere congratulations go out to all participating
organizations.
Most of the entries in the Index have been sent to me
by members, Directors, or parents of Show Choir members. Without their help
there would still only be a handful listed. If you know of any groups that
aren't listed, please send me the City, State, School, and Choir name. Next encourage your Show Choir to get a web site, and then
for the site.
Don't miss a chance to visit
"Show Choir Buzz" ! It is kind-of the
E-Bay for Show Choir information. If you can't find what you are looking for
there, it may not exist!
To navigate this site start here at Alabama, and then proceed alphabetically from State to State, or you may select a State from the List of States.
In my original plan for this Index, I would have included Competition schedules and results.
I have found though, that I would have to compromise the real purpose of
the site to include this information. Trying to keep the site relatively
accurate and reasonably up to date is most important. There are a few sites
that do supply ( and need contributors ) this Competition information.
I have linked these sites in my "SHOW CHOIR CONNECTIONS"
page.
As always, I appreciate any additions,
corrections, or comments for this site. Please contact

Good luck to everybody
in the coming competition season.
We wish we could see all of your performances,
but isn't it great? There are just too many of you!
